Itajaí é um município brasileiro localizado no estado de Santa Catarina, na região do litoral norte catarinense, na margem direita da foz do Rio Itajaí-Açu. É a cidade-sede da Região Metropolitana da Foz do Rio Itajaí. Atualmente, conta com uma população de 287.289 habitantes, em vias de se tornar uma cidade média-grande, é o quinto município mais populoso do estado, segundo a estimativa de 2024 do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE).
